Melted Human Progress

Here is some progress I am making of a melted human being using Mudbox. I want to illustrate the skin falling off the muscle and bones, as if being melted away by high heat and radiation. This is a work in progress, and will be a full character.

Posing the Orc

To make my model Portfolio ready, I began to pose it and quickly realized that a lot of my detailing would need to be reworked. Since I decided to leave this model as a sculpt study, I decided to add more detail by reworking some areas of the mode. I've added belt buckle meshes to parts of the armor and reworked a base mesh for the belt and hair. I've also added teeth to the model. I will sculpt more details into these areas of the model and then finally add a platform for her to stand on.

Self Portrait Applying Textures

I'm beginning to apply the textures to my self portrait. I spent much time on my skin working to add the different hues and colors of my face and hands. Already, I am having difficulty with the realism of the textures as well as the hair texture. I feel that I'm losing detail in the face. Perhaps this is due to features I've either exaggerated too much during the sculpture process, or not enough. I will continue playing with the textures to hopefully pull this model closer to realism. I intend to add some mild texture to the cloths and then begin the process of adding my hair. All critiques welcome.

Self Game Model Update

Here's a continuation of the self portrait model I am working on. Now that I've fully sculpted the model, it's ready for retopology and texturing. I'm hoping this will be a smooth and quick process. I will have more pictures of me in this outfit available for comparison later.

Self Portrait

Made more tweaks to my chin area. I also did some shaping of my eyes and nose.

SelfPortrait

Making an attempt to transform myself into a Game Ready character, fully modeled and textured. Here is the progress on my face. All critiques are most definitely welcome. I changed the color of my background based on a critique that it looked like the Mudbox application background.

Female Orc Final Sculpting Touches

Here's a full body presentation of my latest digital sculpture, Tolkien's Female Orc. I should probably begin thinking of a better name for the piece as I concept out the texture work. For now, as time is running short for this quarter of school, I think I'll put down this project and resume work on her later. She's beginning to give me a headache. All critiques are welcome.
